THE Pot Sticker Pan

Love Pot stickers? Me too! Have a family too feed? Me too! And for us this means cooking several batches of Pot stickers. This is such a slow process in a frying pan when it only fits 8-10 pot stickers. In Taiwan they had a large deep griddle that they cooked pot stickers on. For a long time I could only find A. too shallow of a griddle, B. a deep griddle with a small incline to drain grease or C. a deep Griddle with no lid. Since pot stickers are both steamed and fried, this means an even surface area that can hold water and a lid to cover it is essential.

I got by on a frying pan for a long time but then I was asked to teach a class on how to make pot stickers from scratch where 40-50 people would be attending. Frying pan was not going to cut it so I searched and searched until I came across a company called Zojirushi that makes griddles specifically for cooking East Asian foods. Below I have linked for you the Zojirushi pan that we purchase. This electric griddle cooked 50 pot stickers at once. At the class I taught we had two of these pans and were able to cook 100 pot stickers every 15-20 minutes.

We decided to keep one of the pans for ourselves and sold the other to a lady attending the class. We seriously use this pan everyday for just about anything and everything. This is one of the best purchases we have ever made.

I started thinking about you all and decided to spread the word. Hope you all enjoy this post and find it helpful. Good luck in the Kitchen!
